Rod Farrow,

For over a decade, Rod has been a Buckelew Programs volunteer, initially with Buckelew’s client work training and employment service and subsequently as a Board member and Board President from 2005 to 2008. During his career as an advertising agency general manager and market development consultant for emerging businesses, Rod served on the boards of several professional and volunteer organizations.

Fabia Butler,
Secretary
Advertising & Communication,
Bank of Marin
Fabia Butler joined the Buckelew Board of Directors in 2007 and lends her expertise in marketing and public relations as Board Secretary and Chairman of the Marketing Committee. She is also an integral part of Bank of Marin, in charge of advertising and communications for the highly successful community bank. Fabia enjoys hiking, golf, and spending time outdoors with her family in her spare time.

Terry Noyer,

Real Estate Investor
Born in New York, he came to Marin after law school from Southern California. His occupation is real estate owner and developer. He has two adult children. He joined Buckelew Programs to try to help the homeless population.

Marcia Antipa,
Board Member
KTVU, Channel 2
Marcia Antipa is a broadcast journalist and news writer for KTVU Channel 2 in Oakland. Before taking time out to raise her children she also worked as a field reporter and anchor. Antipa earned an undergraduate degree in Journalism from UC Berkeley, and Masters in Communication from American University in Washington, D.C. Antipa has volunteered extensively in Marin County schools, and recently joined the Board of Directors for Buckelew Programs.

Joan Blum,
Board Member
Fund-raising Consultant (Ret.)
Joan Blum, who has raised more than a billion dollars internationally for various charitable institutions, joined the Buckelew Programs Board of Directors in 2007 with an extensive background in fundraising and marketing. She enjoys skiing/heli-skiing, and sailing on the Bay and at Tahoe. She has been a member of the San Francisco Opera for over 40 years. She says that of all her accomplishments, “the most rewarding was raising my three children, who still remain close friends.”

Marion deHeer,
Board Member
Community Volunteer
Marion de Heer’s history with Buckelew Programs begins in 1978, when she watched a close neighbor seek support for his daughter. Buckelew Programs made all the difference with their need for assistance. This neighbor, Bob Brandt, was serving on the Board of Directors and referred Marion to their nominating committee. She has served since 2003 to help spread the word that there is hope for people with mental illness.

Ross Gondak,
Board Member
Rancher, Winemaker
Ross Gondak, raised in Larkspur close to the original Buckelew House. Graduating from Redwood High, and a B.A. degree from the University of CA, Santa Barbara. He joined the AT&T companies in 1978 and retired in 2001 as a Strategic Opportunities, Sales and Marketing Director for AvayaInc. Ross believes it is essential to quality of life that people engage themselves in their community. After board membership on local youth sports programs he discovered an even better place to serve was at Buckelew Programs.

Judi McCord,
Board Member
Community Volunteer
Before retiring, Judi McCord taught elementary school children with learning disabilities. She also served on the Mental Health Board (MHB) and the Board of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) in Marin for many years. Her time on the MHB gave her a broad perspective pertaining to assistance for the mentally ill, while her interests in NAMI were focused on anti-stigma, transitional age youth, and promoting the Family Support Group.

Deborah McLeran,
Board Member
Educator
Deborah, born and raised in the Bay Area, moved to Marin County in the early 80's. As her two sons grew up, she became deeply involved with volunteer work for both school and local sports. Deborah presently works in Kentfield as a 4th grade teacher's assistant at Bacich School, and became interested in Buckelew Programs when her husband, Ralph, was on the board as president. Deborah joined Buckelew's Board of Directors in October of 2008, and now serves on their Marin/Scapes and Fundraising Committees.

Pamela Romoli,

V.P. and Chief Human Resources Officer, Fireman's Fund Insurance Co.
Pam was appointed chief human resources officer for Fireman’s Fund in January 2007. She is responsible for company human resources strategies that support the businesses. Pam holds a B.A. degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a Masters in Public Administration from California State University, San Diego. She joined the Buckelew Board in January 2009.

Jack Scott,
Board Member
Professor of Art, College of Marin
Jack Scott teaches Fine Art at the College of Marin in Kentfield. His sister is dealing with a severe mental illness, so Jack’s interest in Buckelew is personal ~ and he has been Member of the Board since 2005. His extensive knowledge of the art world has been put to good use with developing Marin/Scapes, an Art Exhibition & Sale that benefits Buckelew Program’s Employment Services.

Walt Stone,
Board Member
Psychiatrist (Ret.)
Walter N. Stone, MD is professor emeritus in the Department of Psychiatry, University of Cincinnati. His major clinical and research interest was group therapy for the persistent and seriously mentally ill. Dr. Stone, in retirement, continues to volunteer and teach at several sites in Northern California. Dr. Stone is author of three books and more than 50 articles and book chapters.

Daniel Waters

Beside his private sector consulting, Dan is a member of the Stanford Alumni Consulting Team which does pro bono consulting for nonprofit organizations in the Bay Area. With an adult child recovering from mental illness, Dan has a personal appreciation for the amazing work done by Buckelew's dedicated staff. Dan is a graduate of Brigham Young University and the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Board member since July 2009.
