About Us

Welcome to Ticket to Work

There is a wide range of SSI (Supplemental Security Income) and SSDI (Social Security disability insurance) beneficiaries who would like to find work and achieve self sufficiency. At Buckelew Programs, we know the importance of work in promoting financial and emotional well being for our clients. We will match your abilities and interests with employer needs to create a successful working relationship.

What is Ticket to Work?
The Ticket to Work Program connects Social Security Beneficiaries with Employment Networks, such as Buckelew Programs, to achieve individual work goals. The Ticket to Work program provides Social Security Beneficiaries real choices in obtaining the services and resources they need to find and maintain employment, while providing a safety net to help during transition. With the help of Buckelew Employment Services, disability beneficiaries who receive SSDI or SSI can take the next step toward work while maintaining their benefits.

What are Work Incentives?
Work incentives are special rules that make it possible for people with disabilities receiving SSDI or SSI to explore work options and still receive benefits until they are able to support themselves. Social Security Work Incentives help beneficiaries with a disability remove barriers to work by:

  • Offering support services to help you find and keep the right job
  • Providing a safety net so that medical reviews will be waived while using your Ticket to Work. Keeping your Medicare or Medi-Cal benefits even if cash benefits end due to earnings.
  • Helping you maximize your earnings and attain greater self-sufficiency, and achieve greater personal satisfaction. Stay in control of your benefits.
  • Make the choice that is right for you. We understand there are barriers to work and we are here to help you to overcome them.
