Buckelew Programs is the North Bay’s largest nonprofit provider of mental health and substance use treatment services, including supported housing and suicide prevention. Since 1970, thousands have turned to us to begin healing, find stability, and build more independent lives.
We meet people where they are—especially those with low or no income who face the greatest barriers to care—with programs rooted in dignity, compassion, and respect.
We also support families and strengthen communities through public education and prevention.

Buckelew Programs serves communities across Marin, Sonoma, Lake, and Mendocino counties, often partnering with local agencies to support at-risk residents with mental illness or addiction. We also support families and community members by providing resource clinics, support groups, and educational outreach for all ages. We never turn anyone away due to their inability to afford care.
We’re in a mental health and addiction crisis. 1 in 5 adults struggled with mental health last year. 1 in 6 young people faced major depression. And 1 in 10 Americans has battled substance use. The need for behavioral health services like Buckelew’s is urgent—and growing. Your support can help us save lives.
