Beginner Hike: Led by local author Katie Martin

We’re thrilled to share that Katie Martin, local author of Hiking Marin, will guide the hike through Turtleback Loop this year. This is a relaxed, 2.3-mile experience for those who want a comfortable and engaging trail walk.  Click here for map.

Intermediate Hike: Shoreline Trail & History of China Camp

Perfect for intermediate hikers and history buffs! This 2.6-mile Shoreline Trail hike will be sprinkled with historical facts and stories. A docent from China Camp Village will lead tours focused on the history of this area.  Click here for map.

Advanced Hike: Oak Ridge Trail

Motivated hikers will love this 4.5-mile trek! A quick shuttle ride to the Oak Ride Trail leads to a lovely downhill hike through wooded forests. Guided by Sarah Godfrey, a local naturalist with 30 years of conservation experience, and Jessica Redding, San Rafael High School Hiking PE teacher.   Click here for map.

Advanced Hike: Ecologist-Led Experience

Discover native plants, birds, and natural wonders! This exclusive guided walk is led by local experts Sarah Swope, Professor of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology, and Sam Abercrombie, Certified Botanist & Environmental Consultant. (Limited to 20).

Little Bellas Guided Ride

Ride alongside the next generation of mountain bikers! A coach from this empowering nonprofit will lead a family-friendly trail adventure. Little Bellas is all about creating experiences that prove cycling is for everyone!

Beginner Ride

New to mountain biking or looking for a laid-back ride? This non-technical option is the perfect choice for those wanting a relaxed, welcoming experience. Loop through shaded woods and lower campsites for a great intro to China Camp area. Low pressure, high enjoyment.

Intermediate Ride

Intermediate Ride

We’ll start with playful ups and downs from base camp, followed by three sections of fun flowy ascents spiked with small technical sections. A moderate climb through wooded trails ends with a mellow roll back to the campground.

Distance: 10 miles • Elevation Gain: 1,000 ft

90% singletrack and packed with everything to love about Marin trails! We’ll start with fun flowy ascents spiked with technical sections, then a climb through exciting terrain to the summit of Mt. Pedro for stunning views, with a final descent back to base camp.

B4B is a day of connection and community, all ages and skill levels are welcome to attend!

Participants can enjoy guided nature hikes, mountain bike rides led by skilled riders, or an outdoor yoga class among the meadows. Choose your preferred activity level (beginner, intermediate, advanced) at sign-up.

Or join us for the party, including live music by the Heavy Hitterz and a delicious catered breakfast and paella lunch.

Ample parking is available along N. San Pedro Road. There is a short walk via fire road to Miwok Meadows; a shuttle is available for those requiring assistance. Parking in the lot is reserved parking only.

Pets are prohibited in the park. Service animals only.
