Housing and intensive support for people with complex mental health challenges, empowering them to live as independently as possible.
Amy spent years feeling heartbroken and feeling helpless over her daughter Joanna’s health and safety. Joanna was struggling with postpartum depression, psychosis, and substance use. She cycled in and out of hospitals and programs, unable to learn or practice the skills for sustained recovery. But then Joanna entered Casa Rene, Buckelew’s short-term residential crisis care program. Because of Buckelew, says Amy, “My daughter is going to be fine.”
More than 600 individuals received supportive services, empowering them to remain in stable health and safe housing last year.
We believe safe housing combined with personalized support is essential to a person’s recovery during a mental health crisis and for long-term stability. Buckelew offers several levels of housing and wraparound services that support clients breaking cycles of homelessness, hospitalization, and incarceration.
