Serving Marin County, referral required
An innovative model for short-term residential treatment for those with co-occurring mental health care and substance use needs.
Rising Recovery Center is a 15-bed, short-term residential treatment center in San Rafael for adults experiencing both substance use and mental health diagnoses. This program supports those with little or no income to receive much-needed access to care.
This innovative program focuses on stabilization, recovery support, and skill-building to help clients referred by Marin County Behavioral Health & Recovery Services transition into longer-term treatment, supported housing, and independent living. This model empowers people to break cycles that too often lead to incarceration, hospitalization, homelessness, or institutionalization.
Rising Recovery Center will open in late spring 2026, and is funded by a $7.9 million state grant awarded to Marin County in 2023 to fill a critical gap in local behavioral health care.
