Jack was 17 when his sister Jill first showed signs of schizophrenia. It was 1971, and their family was knocked sideways. After many ER visits and suicide attempts, they found Buckelew’s MAIL housing program, where Jill still lives today. She found a job at a local theater and has worked there over 20 years — never missing a day. “MAIL is an amazing gift for our family,” Jack says. “My sister became more confident and stable. We were so relieved to find Buckelew.”
