Who We Are


Buckelew Programs was founded in 1970 to provide supported housing services. Today, Buckelew Programs is the most comprehensive nonprofit provider of behavioral health services in the North Bay, delivering direct services to over 3,000 each year in addition to answering over 15,000 calls annually through the Suicide Prevention hotline. Core service areas are Counseling, Service Navigation, Substance Use Recovery, Supported Housing and Suicide Prevention. Buckelew serves Marin, Sonoma and Napa counties; Suicide Prevention serves Marin, Sonoma, Mendocino and Lake counties and operates one of 12 California call centers in the national 988 Lifeline network launched in 2022, responding to all regionally-originated calls. Buckelew follows a “no wrong door” policy, serving anyone who seeks services. Serving all ages, Buckelew provides access to behavioral healthcare to those who may otherwise not have access.
