Board Member

Jaime Yan Faurot joined the Buckelew Board of Directors in 2023, driven by her personal experience as a peer and community advocate navigating mental health challenges for families and communities.  As a certified Peer Specialist, she brings extensive advocacy and leadership experience to her volunteer work with Buckelew. 

Jaime has served on several Marin County initiatives, including the Mental Health Services Advisory Committee, Peer Outreach Committee, and Recovery Change Team. In 2021, she received a Commendation from the Marin County Board of Supervisors for over five years of volunteer service with the Behavioral Health and Recovery Services Team. Jaime was honored at the 2019 Celebrating the Uncelebrated ceremony by Marin County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services.

The core of her work revolves around promoting cultural humility and advocating for the mental health needs of the unserved and underserved.

Jaime holds a Master of Hospitality Management from Thames Business College, London.
