Coming in 2026! An innovative model for short-term residential addiction treatment and mental health care

What We Do

Opening in 2026, Rising Recovery Center will be a 15-bed, short-term residential treatment center in San Rafael for adults experiencing both addiction and mental health challenges—especially those with little or no income and struggle to access care.

The innovative program will focus on stabilization, recovery support, and skill-building to help clients referred by Marin County Behavioral Health & Recovery Services transition into longer-term treatment, supported housing, and independent living. This model empowers people to break cycles that too often lead to incarceration, hospitalization, homelessness, or institutionalization.

Rising Recovery Center is under construction and expected to open in late spring 2026. It is funded by a $7.9 million state grant awarded to Marin County in 2023 to fill a critical gap in local behavioral health care.
