Real People, Real Recovery Meet Greg

Greg’s story is one of redemption, resilience, and service. Once a rising legal star, his addiction led to disbarment, prison, and rock bottom. But at Buckelew’s Helen Vine Recovery Center, he rebuilt his life—first as a client, then as a mentor, and ultimately as a counselor. Now, with over six years of sobriety, he’s supporting others in recovery while reclaiming his law career.

What We Do

Buckelew is dedicated to supporting individuals with low or no income overcome substance use disorders. We meet clients wherever they are in their recovery journey, offering withdrawal management (detox), residential treatment, and sober housing. Every client, including those with co-occurring psychiatric disorders, receives a tailored recovery plan. The strength of our programs also lies in the nonjudgmental support clients receive from counselors and alumni who walked this path themselves. They foster a community where ongoing healing and connection thrive.
