Tools for Coping with Isolation with Daphne Willis
About this Event
How I combat isolation: Pandemic aside, isolation is something I’ve faced throughout my life. Whether I was battling an addiction or navigating my newly found gender-fluid identity in a binary dominated society, my ongoing relationship with isolation has always required finding meaningful and healthy ways to connect to the world around me. Because isolation often causes painful emotions such as fear, shame, and grief, it requires a strong sense of community and a teamwork-mentality to rise above it. Over the years I’ve created my own personal tool kit that I continue to build and grow as I go along in the world. I will share 3 very specific tools that have been paramount in winning my battles with isolation; education, communication and creation.
