Athena House

Athena House (formerly located at the Stone House) is a woman and non-binary individual-only licensed and certified residential treatment program in Sonoma County that provides welcoming, recovery-oriented services to individuals with substance abuse issues. The evidence-based program can provide 14 women – and two women in the program with children – an intensive engagement between 30-120 days at any given time. Annually, Athena House serves over 70 women.

At Athena House, women find support, acceptance and hope through individualized programming, including counseling, education about alcohol and drug addiction, trauma work, wellness and life care tools, relapse prevention, outings and activities, and community mentors. Staff provides one-on-one case management, exit planning and collaboration with multiple agencies, including Sonoma County’s Family, Youth and Children’s Services.

Offering a continuum of care, clients often transition to Hope Village’s sober living environment on the same campus. Individuals move from intensive intervention to more independent living and a lower level of care, as appropriate. Each client receives customized services to meet their needs and ultimately transitions back into the community.

This program is open to any woman or non-binary individual seeking recovery, including self-referrals and private pay: Hope for a more fulfilling life, one day at a time.
