Psychological Resilience Skills and Strategies for Entrepreneurs in the COVID-19 Global Pandemic: Entrepreneurs endure precarity, assume extreme risk, maintain relentless drive, energy, and laser-focus, sacrifice time with friends and family, and face the likelihood of failure in the absence of safety nets.
Despite these “super powers,” entrepreneurs can experience mental health differences and vulnerabilities that impede their productivity and ability to thrive and create the social and economic benefits our society depends upon.
Entrepreneurs and small business owners have been hit especially hard by the Covid-19pandemic. They are living in unprecedented circumstances and have been forced to navigate a sea of vast uncertainty and collective grief. Many have had to pivot quickly and change how they operate, make drastic cuts, and lay-off employees. Some will not survive.
The emotional burden and pressure of living with this level of economic insecurity is tremendous. This talk will review principles of resilience science and offer evidence-based pragmatic tools and strategies.
