San Rafael, CA.- Newest board member, Mary T. McDevitt, joins the Buckelew Programs Board of Directors, contributing her expertise and experience in health care communications. Mary retired from McKesson Corporation, a global health care services company, where she held senior roles in corporate public affairs, marketing communications and program management for more than 15 years.

After more than three years of working to identify a new site, The Helen Vine Recovery Center (HVRC), Marin County’s only non-medical, residential detoxification facility serving low income and medically indigent clients, celebrated the ground breaking for its new home on Wednesday , July 12th, at 4pm. The new site is located just down the street from its current location on Smith Ranch Road.

The merger of Buckelew Programs with Family Service Agency of Marin (FSA) will become effective March 1, 2012, subject to state approvals. The merger will unify two strong and respected non-profit organizations to better serve the community. It also positions the new organization for growth and success that will meet a wider spectrum of community mental health needs in the era of health reform.
