Athena House

“I learned I could be this wonderful mom, clean and sober, with a loving family and the fellowship of other women to support me. I can do this!”  ~ Athena House alumna and staff member

Athena House, named after the Greek goddess of wisdom, has provided intensive, evidence-based, holistic treatment for women and nonbinary individuals with substance use disorders for over 40 years. Located on a beautifully renovated campus in Santa Rosa, clients find support, acceptance and hope through non-judgmental individualized treatment. They work with expert staff, all with lived experience, and receive additional support from a strong alumnae network.

Athena House serves up to 14 adults and 2 accompanying children at a time. This is a 30- to 90-day intensive program, after which clients often transition to our Hope Village sober living environment on the same campus. It’s a vital component in the continuum of care, as Hope Village residents live independently while practicing sobriety and rebuilding their lives one day at a time.
